You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the Food Care operations including but not limited to logistics, coordination of volunteers, acquisition of food and communication of the service.

Purpose

The purpose of the Food Care Manager is to serve the community by overseeing all logistical areas of operation within Food Care that will provide a service of food at a reduced cost to those in need within our community.

Scope

The Food Care Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the Food Care operations including but not limited to logistics, coordination of volunteers, acquisition of food and communication of the service.

Key Responsibilities

The Food Care Manager will have the following specific responsibilities within the church:

• Coordinating and communicating and recruiting with the team of volunteers required to implement the Food Care Program within Shellharbour Community Church
• Liaising with the required organisations regarding the provision of food for Food Care
• Organising for the food and other appropriate materials to be delivered to the church for distribution of the Food Care program
• Working with community groups, local government and other agencies as required
• Maintaining a safe environment for church staff, Food Care Volunteers and other visitors in all aspects of Food Care including Food Care storage, the receipt of goods, the provision of the service to the public and implementation of Food Safety
• Undertaking required record keeping and bookkeeping for Food Care including the organisation of accounts payable and receivable in conjunction with the church office
• Overseeing the funding requirements for the Food Care program and other appropriate sources of income, including community fund raising initiatives
• Overseeing other aspects concerned with the daily running of the Food Care program
• Undertaking required administration to support the Food Care program
• Involvement in and support of required changes to services provided including, but not limited to relocation of the central point from which Food Care is administered
• Undertaking the responsibility of applying for relevant grants for the food care program.
