Explosion Kidz is our children’s ministry catering for one year old up to year 6 primary school students.

Each Sunday through the school year children are a part of our praise and announcements in the auditorium. Then when announced children, accompanied by the Explosion Kidz crew, head to the Kids Hub. Explosion Kidz gather to continue our journey of exploring the word of God, learning more about His great story and how each one of us have a part in that. Each time with gather we provide programs that are: child focused, safe, relevant and applicable, creative, small group focused and fun. Each of these values are underpinned by ensuring the truth of God’s word is our foundation and is not compromised.

Each member of our team has been carefully chosen to serve in our Explosion Kidz. Our Team Members are passionate about Jesus and sharing the good news with children in fun and creative ways. Before joining the team each member has undergone a volunteer screening, as well as participating in safe ministry training. All our team members over 18 years of age have a working with children’s check.

Each time your child attends Explosion Kidz they will need to be checked in. On your first visit you will be required to fill in a registration form.  If possible, please arrive a little earlier to allow tie for this, alternatively please download the registration form available below and bring it along with you. Once you have done this we will have your child’s details in our system. Each time you visit you will receive a unique number that you will be required to present on pick up of your child.

Dominion Youth is our ministry for year 6 to year 12 students. We believe in the potential of young people to love God wholeheartedly, make a difference in the lives of others and grow in leadership in their spheres of influence. Our mission is to empower young people to live Christ centered lives. Every Friday night of the school term from 6:30-9:00 pm we create a safe space for young people to have a ton of fun, connect with other youth and young leaders and explore the big questions of faith and life.

Along with our Friday night program, we have various youth connect groups that run on throughout the week across the city, providing a smaller group setting for our young people to engage with God and each other. High School has its highs and lows and our team of young, volunteer leaders are committed to walking that journey with you on Fridays and in weekly connect groups!

Please register for youth here! This helps us look after the youth while they are in our care.

Shellharbour Young Adults Community is focussed on making strong connections with one another and the broader community. Join us for fivethirtychurch each Sunday night. Join us over a meal with our Post Service Hangs most week weeks.

Young adults also have connect groups and opportunities to hangout together at other events across the Illawarra.

Foundations is our connection point for new Christians, those with questions about Christianity, or those who want to revisit the foundations of the faith. Life as a Christian is not meant to be done alone, and Foundations will help you connect with other believers as well as explore how to grow in your relationship with God. All are welcome! We would love to meet you.

Foundations runs every Sunday night after the evening service.

Connect Groups

We believe that the bigger our church grows, the more we need to be intentional about forming close relationships within our church family. Life transformation happens best within a small community of trusted people who are championing you and your relationship with God. We all need a place to be real about our lives and to be encouraged to seek God.

We have Connect Groups that meet across the city, on different days for different demographics. We would love to help you find a connect group that will be just right for you! Check out our Connect Group directory below and you can contact the connect group facilitator directly or fill in a Red Card to receive a phone call from the church office to find out more.
